Here is a post from my sister in law Judi's caringbridge website. Judi and my brother Jim are amazing people with an inspiring and contagious faith. They are true faithful servants of God.
Another day closer to the last treatment. To date Judi has had 4 days of chemo with 4 more days scheduled beginning on the 3rd of January. That should complete the check schedule. The doctor advised that they may administer another cycle of chemo in late January to "mop up" any residual cancer cells that may remain after the radiation & the initial chemo treatments. Today was radiation #15; the doctor has scheduled a maximum total of 30 treatments so we are half there!!!! January 18th is the last scheduled treatment date. That recaps where we are as of today.
We had an early appointment today---7:30--- and again tomorrow. It's tough getting up but then it gives us a longer day & Judi can come home & rest in leisure. Judi slept good last night and has felt better today. We saw the radiation doctor this morning & he did his usual once over & commented that Judi is tolerating the radiation quite well. Her blood work looked good----Our concern with the white blood cells shows that they have returned to normal. The only concern is High blood sugar--(near 200) and anemia. Drinking more water should help in those areas.
A final note on -----PRAYER_-------. We are seeing many people with cancer every day ----Those with faith in God and who pray & have people that pray for them, are happy and are doing much better. Those who come in with a frown or who are saying "poor me" ---need our prayers----please remember them tonight in your prayers.
WE ASK THE NEW BORN CHRIST TO CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER JUDI. WE THANK THE HOLY SPIRIT FOR STANDING WITH HER & GIVING HER STRENGTH & SUPPORT. GOD IS GREAT!!!!!!!! THANK YOU
