My Joe is sick

Joe woke up this morning with a high fever and has been very sick all day long. He's been sick before but never like this. As many know, it takes a great deal to keep this kid down. Usually, when he gets sick, I give him a little Motrin and he's back to his wild self. Well, not today. Finally tonight after battling his 104.5 temp for too long, I gave him a cocktail of Tylenol/Motrin and a cool shower. He wasn't thrilled with the shower but he took his meds without a problem. After about 1/2 hour, his fever finally broke and he seems to be better for the time being. He broke my heart all day long with the chills and just lying there miserable. He would look at me, open one eye and say "Am I better yet?" He's been able to keep a little bit of liquids down for about an hour now so I'm hopeful that he will be able to get some rest tonight. Looks like he will be spending another weekend sleeping in Mom and Dad's bed.
