Fr. Livius died Friday, June 22, 2007 1:30 PM in St. Joseph's Hospital, Pontiac, Michigan. He was 94 years old. May he rest peacefully in the arms of Our Lord forever!
Fr. Livy played an important part in our family for 50 plus years. He resided over many weddings and baptisms in our family and my father's funeral. This morning, Bob and I were remembering our "marriage classes" with Fr. Livy. They were quite humorous. That was over 21 years ago. In elementary school, we would have to go to church before class and I'll always remember sitting there not being able to understand much of what he was saying due to his heavy Italian accent but still being just taken in by his presence. I'm sure all of my brother's and sister's have a Fr. Livy story they could share.
