Today is my brother Jim's birthday. Jim is my oldest big brother and he is the one that "gave me away" at my wedding. He is married to Judi and they have four children. James, Christopher, Robert and Janette. He is also grandpa or papa to nine grandchildren. He is retired from Ford Motor Co. Jim and Judi live here in Michigan and also have a home in sunny Florida. Jim is a pilot and once built a home up north that had a runway/driveway right up to his garage. I have to mention that he finds the best stuff on the web. Anything from funny to uplifting to spiritual. I can always count on having something from Jim that will make me smile. When our Mom was still alive, Jim would ALWAYS bring her flowers on HIS birthday. I'm not sure if he knew or knows how much that meant to her. Jim worked at the Livonia transmission plant and our Mom lived in Livonia and on his lunch break, the two of them would frequently visit "Big Lots". I will always remember her showing me all of the great bargains that they would find.
Like all of our brothers and sisters, we all get so busy with our families that we don't always get the chance to see or talk to each other as much as we would like too. But, I can say for certain that we are always in each others hearts and prayers. We can't really explain it, we just have this connection even if we don't talk frequently. I always know that Jim is only a phone call away and that I could reach him in a minute if I needed ANYTHING. That's just how my brother is. He is a faithful Husband, Father, Grandpa, Son, Brother and friend to so many.
