Joe's cooking debut
Today while Bob and I were in the hot tub, Joe decided that he wanted Easy Mac. Recently, he's shown a desire to cook his own food. With the new easy mac, all he has to do is take the top off of the microwaveable container that it comes in, remove the cheese packet and fill it half way with water, put it in the microwave for 3 minutes. Well, as you can imagine Joe has made and eaten a lot of mac and cheese today. He was so thrilled with himself until he decided to do it while we were in the hot tub. Everything is calm and all of a sudden, Joe starts screaming "fire, fire, fire"! The boys start running from different parts of the house, Bob and I run in the house no one is sure what's happened but we figured it out pretty soon. Smoke was billowing from the microwave. I knew instantly what it was. Apparently, Joe did everything he was supposed to do but forgot to put enough water in the bowl. So when he took it out, it was too hard. Joe decides that maybe he should cook it a little bit longer, so he sets the microwave for 20 minutes. Just about 17 minutes to much. As you can see from the picture I've posted, this is what happens when you cook easy mac for too long. Our house is beginning to clear out and I've cleaned out the microwave and the area around it and I don't think there is any lasting damage.
I don't think Joe will be doing any more cooking in the near future. Oh yea, of course he tried to blame it on Billy like he does with everything else.

Classic...and hilarious! Glad no one/nothing was hurt!
Hilarious. I especially loved the part about Joe blaming Billy.
Thanks for making me laugh! This will so happen at my house in a few years (my boy is only 2). :)
