Billy's book update

Around 2:00 today, (after calling Billy's counselor at school) I received an e-mail from Mrs. Brode. She apologized for any inconvenience that this has caused us but if Billy would have come to her and told her that he didn't understand something that she would of helped him. She claimed that the papers that Billy had difficult with was not information that was covered in the book that it had to do with info they went over in class. (totally dismissing the fact that he still doesn't have his own book). She said that on Thursday she did offer to let him "check out" a book if he promised to bring it back. She offered to let Billy retake the test from Friday and that she would "find" Billy a book of his own. She's also offered to give him extra help in the mornings or at lunch time. Now, before this she was never available to give extra help. Billy also said she was actually nice to him today. Imagine that.

I guess I could continue this saga with Dr. Meyers (principal) but, my intentions were never to battle with this teacher, just get my kid his own book. I'm pretty sure, that Billy's English grade will improve considerably.
