My Inspiration

I had my meeting at school today and in a past post I mentioned that Bob wasn't going to be there but I didn't share the reason. He would have been there in a heartbeat. Well, for unknown reasons, I'm much less emotional and stronger and can handle the situation if I don't have him to fall back on. Well, the meeting was somewhat painful as usual, but all in all I think I did what was best for Joe. Being in this situation makes me want to get more involved in parent support groups. People in general do not understand the heartache that goes into just trying to do what's best for their child. Parenting a child with special needs is very difficult on couples, but Bob has always had great hope and expectations for Joe even when I have my doubts. Bob is the kind of guy who is there for everyone, he never says no and always does things with a full heart. Sometimes I feel as if he's so busy with everyone else and their issues that somehow we get overlooked. Well, around 12:30 today 15 minutes before my meeting, I got a call from Bob saying that he was praying for me and to be strong and that he loved me. After the meeting I called him and shared my thoughts and concerns with him and even though I know he was so so busy, he actually listened to me and was extremely comforting. Bob is the kind of guy who is on the phone 24-7 with one problem or another. He's self diagnosis himself as ADHD and it's really difficult for him to stop and really listen. But today, he truly was there for me. He came home gave me a big hug and has been such an amazing strength for me all night long. He took over and was gracious when Billy and Chris got into a fight because Billy wore chris' shirt to school today.(by the way guys, that's a girl thing) He's allowed me to correspond with friends who are in similar situations with special kidos and has opened his night to me. Thank you so very much Bob you have no idea how much I appreciate and love you. Thanks for keeping cool tonight when I just couldn't.
